Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Mr. Chu Hong Minh, Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union affirmed: For the 2017 - 2022 term, the Youth Union's work and the capital's youth movement have had many positive and comprehensive changes. and achieved many important results. With constant efforts, the Party Committee, together with the youth and people of the Capital of 5 non-business units, 107 establishments of the Youth Union, 1,635 grassroots organizations, nearly 24,000 branches, more than 615 thousand unions members have made special marks, along with comprehensive breakthroughs in all aspects of work.
 
With the slogan "The Capital's youth is exemplary, solidarity, impulsive, creative, integrated and developed", the Youth Union work and the youth movement in the capital has had many positive and comprehensive changes. and achieved many important results. The Hanoi Youth Union is proud to be an excellent unit for many consecutive years in the Union's work and the youth and children's movement of the whole country; honored to be awarded the First Class Labor Medal by the State President for outstanding achievements in labor, creation, construction and defense of the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland; honored to be awarded the Flag of excellent unit by the Prime Minister in carrying out the City's tasks.
